How to control the quality of self-adhesive label printing

self adhesive label printing belongs to special printing. Generally, its printing and post press processing are completed at one time on the label machine. The research on the experimental machine has never been brief, that is, multiple processing processes are completed on several stations of a machine. As it is online processing, the control of the printing quality of self-adhesive labels is a comprehensive printing and processing problem. It should be comprehensively considered and implemented from the aspects of material selection, equipment configuration and regulation to the formulation of process routes, and track the application of label products in customers, so as to further improve the quality of label products

I. selection of raw materials

when selecting raw materials, in addition to bringing a large number of sales to the environmental experiment equipment industry, we must select high-quality self-adhesive materials with qualified physical and chemical indicators, rather than products with expired or unstable physical and chemical indicators. Although the price of the latter is low, due to the unstable quality of such materials, they are consumed in various processes, and even lead to the failure of normal processing of the equipment. As a result, the processing cost of finished product labels is not necessarily low, and more seriously, they may be returned by customers, or even lose customers

the selection of raw materials and control system software should be considered from the following two aspects

1. Printing and processing characteristics of self-adhesive materials

① the consistency of surface gloss and color, density uniformity of surface materials

up to some indicators determine the ink absorption uniformity of self-adhesive materials, and also determines the color difference of the same batch of label prints. The coating strength of the surface material determines whether a large amount of paper powder will be produced during printing, and it is also an important index to determine the printing quality

② thickness uniformity and strength indication of base paper and surface material

these indicators are not only related to printing performance, but also important indicators determining die-cutting uniformity, waste discharge speed and paper edge fracture. If these indicators are too low, the label machine will not be able to produce at a high speed

③ flatness of material or uniformity of rewinding tension

whether it is single sheet printing or web printing, the flatness of material determines whether it can correctly feed, run, register and receive paper during printing. For the drum material, the rewinding tension will play an important role in the flatness of the end face of the drum material, whether there is glue leakage and whether it can be correctly aligned

④ the uniformity of adhesive and silicone oil coating and the correct coating amount

these indicators directly affect the stripping force (release force) between the label and the backing paper, and the size of the stripping force directly affects the speed of die cutting waste discharge and the machine. The stripping force also determines the label output status, that is, the application status. In addition, the amount of glue applied will also affect the material
